Overview:
We are seeking a mature, trustworthy, reliable, and compassionate care worker for Mr A, a resident of Croxley Green in the Rickmansworth, Watford area. Mr A has been diagnosed with childhood autism and moderate learning disabilities. He has experienced several failed placements, which has led to significant anxiety about being moved to another placement, particularly when unfamiliar visitors come to the house.
About Mr A:
Mr A lives with his parents in their family home located in a quiet residential close. He has several hobbies and interests, including painting, soap making, watching films, and listening to music at home. He is passionate about Airlines of the world, Disney, animations, superheroes, animals, and wildlife. Notably, Mr A has successfully sold some of his paintings and homemade soaps to raise funds for a wildlife charity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide daily support and companionship to Mr A in his home.
- Assist with Mr A’s hobbies and activities, including painting, soap making, watching films, and listening to music.
- Help manage Mr A’s anxiety, especially during visits from unfamiliar individuals.
- Encourage and participate in Mr A’s interests, such as airlines, Disney, animations, superheroes, and wildlife.
- Maintain a positive and empathic attitude to foster a supportive and comforting environment.
- Adhere to all training provided to ensure the best care for Mr A.
ALL TRAINING PROVIDED
Being a driver with access to your own car is essential !
Shift Patterns:
- Day Shift: 9am – 5pm, Monday to Sunday, 8am – 8pm, Monday to Sunday
- Night Shift: 8pm – 8am
