At Concept Care Community Services, we’ve been delivering high-quality, person-centred care across Northamptonshire for over 20 years. We are now hiring Learning Disability & Mental Health Carers to support clients in the Northampton and Wellingborough areas — enabling them to live independently, express themselves, and actively engage in their communities.
About the Role
You will be supporting individuals with a range of additional needs including autism, learning disabilities, dementia, physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and behaviours that challenge. Each care plan is tailored to the individual — your support will be practical, empowering, and truly life-changing.
Duties
- Deliver person-centred care that promotes choice and independence
- Assist with daily living tasks including personal care, dressing, bathing, medication, and meals
- Support individuals with communication, self-expression, and emotional regulation
- Help clients engage in community activities, hobbies, and social interaction
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment
- Keep accurate records and communicate with families, professionals, and your team

About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs
- Confidence working with behaviours that challenge (including anxiety, aggression, or self-harm)
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills
- A calm, empathetic, and adaptable approach
- Relevant care qualifications (preferred) or willingness to work toward them
